Hintertuxer glacier

The ski saison stretches from December to April. Endless hiking trails, innumerable huts and mountain pastures seduce and entice to abide. Wide pistes kilometres of length satisfies you with hillsides predominantly free of trees. These are mostly accessible because of the permanent snow cannons.
The Hintertuxer glacier gives the ending of the scenic high valley at the end of Zillertal and so is a real experience all year long, not only for skiers and snowboarders. Hiking guests might also appreciate the suitable start to the high mountain adventure. From Hintertux (1.500 m above sea level) the new cable railway brings you to the summer mountain village (2.100 m above sea level). You can go on with the most modern cable car of Austria up to 2.660 m above sea level to the Tuxer Fernerhaus where the Hintertuxer glacier begins and you can reach the Frozen Wall on 3.250 m above sea level with the highest-located two-rope orbit track of the world. The ski-region is 92 km southeastern from Innsbruck and 182 km southern from Munich.
