Salzhaff

The Salzhaff is an inland water with access to the western part of the Baltic Sea in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The natural bank consists of cliffs, dunes and salt marshes and lies in the Wismar bay between the Boiensdorfer Werder peninsula and the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik.

Fishing:
There are fishing permits for tourists without fishing license testing

Bike tours:
The Baltic Sea cycle path leads along the coast and is only interrupted in small places where the country road must then be used. The bicycle ferry ""Salzhaff"" from the north of the island of Poel to the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik enables you to combine a bike and boat tour.

Fly:
A small sports airport in Wismar-Müggenburg also offers blessing flights over the region.

Surfing and sailing:
Surf schools, rental and sailing courses are offered on the campsites Boiensdorf and Pepelow and in the Baltic Sea resort of Rerik

Diving:
There are diving schools for beginners and professionals with dives in Rerik and Timmendorf

Hiking and walking:
The very popular but unfortunately poorly described European long -distance hiking trail E9 leads through the coastal landscape between Wismar and Rerik. A good hiking map is recommended.

State capital Schwerin with castle as well as the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Lübeck are ideal for day trips and can be reached in 1 hour hour.
