The Beskiden in Northern Moravia

The highest point of the Beskiden is the mountain Lysa Hora ...
With 1324 meters above sea level. Even if this region - especially the nature reserves Mazak and SMRK - is suitable for hiking and cycling, it also offers an interesting supporting program in the field of entertainment in summer: folklor festivals with performances of folk songs and dances can be found in numerous towns such as in Jablunkov, Trinec Vsetin and Karolinka and Slusovice. These towns also present a variety of interesting folk sacral buildings.

From the open -air museum to the skyscraper ...
The Beskiden Economic and Cultural Center is Frydek-Mistek with 62,000 inhabitants. Here it is advisable to see the castle from the beginning of the 14th century. The city of Roznov Pod Radhostem at the foot of the Radhost mountain is known primarily because of the open -air museum, which is the largest in all of the Czech Republic. The district town of Zlin comes up with a peculiar landmark: a 77 meter high skyscraper from 1939 with 16 floors. The pink giant is under monument protection and cannot be overlooked.
