Vacation in Riva del Garda

Special flair ...
The Scaliger from Verona, the Visconti from Milan and the Venetians also fought for Riva, because even at the time of the Romans, Riva was considered the most coveted jetty on the northernmost lake tip. Riva separated huge, steeply sloping rock walls until the construction of the tunnel road (1926-28) in the west of Limone and in the east of Torbole. In an essential point, however, Riva differs from all the other places and its residents. It is the special flair consisting of an interesting mix of Italian elegance and lightness, paired with South Tyrolean down -to -earthness and tradition.

Picturesque impressions ...
The rugged, rugged foothills of the Trentine Alps, which inevitably remind of South Tyrol, also contribute to this. But the crucial reason is certainly that Riva was the only place on the lake for over a century (1815-1918) under the rule of the Austrians until the Italian troops finally ended up in the harbor on November 3, 1918 and finally snatched the city to the bidies In memory of November 3, 1918, the place in front of the harbor was given the name Piazza 3 Novembre, which today forms the heart of the city. Friedrich Nietzsche spent quiet hours in the Hotel Sole and enjoyed the view of the Apponale Tower and the lake. Around the place, which is outstanding by steep walls of Monte Rocchetta, meet business people, tourists and lovers to lunch near the lake through the noble boutiques or just to promenade at sunset.

Sports & Freetime

Golf
There are currently 5 golf courses on Lake Garda, which are becoming increasingly popular. The environment is unique of almost all systems. Golfing on Lake Garda means joy in the Mediterranean hilly landscape between olive groves and cypresses, in the background the water of the lake glitters, which almost resembles the sea.

The golf courses are largely in a top state, juicy, well-groomed green and original design show that this sport is very important on the southern edge of the Alps.

The places are generally open all year round, German and Austrian players are also drawn to the evergreen fairways in winter. Typical for Italian golf courses is a day of rest a week (mostly Sunday). In addition, the fairways are only available at certain times, e.g. at lunchtime. All systems are coupled to hotels, enjoying green fairy as a hotel guest. The prices are very different depending on the season and space, but can be compared with German prices.
