Peljesac peninsula

According to Istria, Pelješac is the largest peninsula in Croatia. Her mountain ridge protrudes from Ston to Lovišće around 961 meters high from the sea. In addition to mountains and wine, Pelješac is known for the rare mouflon.

Vacation on the Pelješac peninsula

Almost an island ...
Pelješac is only connected to the mainland at a narrow point at Ston and was separated from the country by the Ragusaners (Dubrovnik), who were in charge from 1333 to 1806. Real excursion destinations for vacationers on the Pelješac peninsula include the towns of Lovišće and Orebić.

Lovišće ...
was founded 100 years ago on the large bay of settlers from Hvar, which was pulled deep into the country. Until 1973, Lovišće was only available on the sea route. Now the tourists can come to the quiet seaside resort. Every now and then it is celebrated, but then strong. Small fireplaces are lit around the bay and some watch the fire spell from the water. For swimming, the delicacy beach in the Bay of Lovišće is particularly suitable for families. If you like it very quietly, go on foot or take the boat to the surrounding bays Križica, Česminova, Slatina or to the two northern bays Rasoha and Bezdija.
